Integration with TestRail
If you use TestRail Cloud for test management, the Snapshots integration with TestRail (Snapshots for TestRail Data into Confluence) lets you embed TestRail data into Confluence pages.
The integration adds a TestRail level type to the Snapshots macro. A TestRail level can be rooted on Test Plans, Test Runs & Results, or Test Cases, and automatically expands into nested sublayers (i.e. test runs → tests → results) based on which fields you pick.
TestRail levels can be used standalone, for a pure TestRail report, or combined with Jira Issues levels in the same snapshot, so one report can show Jira issues and the TestRail tests linked to them side by side.
Scope
The integration supports TestRail Cloud only. TestRail Server is not supported.
Setting it up
The integration is available once you install and configure the TestRail extension. See Configuring the TestRail connection for the install and credential steps.
Once installed
You can:
-
Add a TestRail level to a snapshot, rooted on Test Plans, Test Runs, or Test Cases — see Adding TestRail data to snapshots.
-
Combine TestRail levels with Jira Issues levels in the same snapshot, with automatic cross-linking through TestRail's
refsfield.
